Growing strong leaders and team champions in work, life and technology

Welcome to ECU Engineering Project Management

This site introduces the East Carolina University course in Engineering Project Management.  This course is a service learning based and writing intensive course that charges student teams to learn project management not only in the classroom, but in the community “field” by supporting local community organizations.  Students learn project management fundamentals – risk analysis, planning, scheduling, budgeting, resource allocation – and apply them to real world semester long projects.  A strong focus of the course is leadership and team skill development.  The course encompasses a semester long leadership legacy cycle in which students learn about themselves and their teammates, learn leadership skills, learn from field experts and are ultimately charged to Go Public in a blog of their own on their project, team and leadership progress in the course which also satisfies the writing intensive requirements of the course.
