ECU Stadium Addition invasion!

Project Manager David Philyaw discusses ECU Stadium Addition project with ECU Engineering students

ECU Engineering students in the Fall 2010 Engineering Project Management course visited the ECU Stadium Addition project as it wrapped up on 02-SEPTEMBER. Project Manager and ECU Construction Management Alum David Philyaw showed the class around the stadium, answered questions and explained design considerations and construction methods of the project. Prior to their visit with PM Philyaw, students had the opportunity to review project drawings and a monthly report with their instructor Stephanie Sullivan to get a feel for detail, documentation and communication required for the project, which cost over $15 million. The new scoreboard, now the largest in the state, cost over $4 million, while the computer systems and electronics to control it over $1 million.

The new addition and super-huge screen will be utilized for the first time during the first home game of the season against Tulsa during Labor Day weekend.
