William T. Cooper, Jr.
Bill Cooper has been the manager of the BioNetwork Bioprocessing Center for over 5 years. Prior to his appointment to that position, he spent several months attempting retirement from his industrial career as an operations executive. Bill’s expertise stems from 30 years of experience in the chemical processing industry, including time spent producing agricultural commodities, food grade additives, bulk organic chemicals, specialty chemicals, and pharmaceuticals. Bill’s last position in industry was as General Manager of the world’s largest phosphate mine and chemical processing site owned by PCS Phosphate.
Prior to joining PCS Phosphate, Bill held various positions with The NutraSweet Company, serving in both line and staff functions. He identified, developed, and managed the worldwide tolling operations which included sites in the United States, Japan, Brazil, and Italy. Bill’s early career includes positions with Witco Chemical Corp., BASF, and Merck.
Bill earned both his Master of Science and Bachelor of Science degrees in Chemical Engineering from Bucknell University in Lewisburg, PA.
